This sign in the car park is the welcome to the Penicuik Estate. It tells about the work of the Trust and shows a map of the grounds.
The Clerk family that used to own the Estate, still live nearby in what used to be the stable block. The tower (as seen above) of the stables is the symbol that will be used in the signposting of the various walks that will eventually form part of the grounds. Some posts are already in position. We are already so at home here that we don't need any signage but it will be great for new visitors.
